    Description

2026 Honda Talon 1000X-4 FOX LIVE VALVE Pearl Red

    Four seats, endless thrills

Epic days on the trail are even better if you can share them. Which, of course, is why we make the Talon 1000X-4. Built especially for tighter, more technical trails, its 999cc Unicam® engine gives you excellent power, made even better because you also get our unique automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT). Seating for four lets you share the shred. Bonus points for our available FOX Live Valve model, with premium suspension. Isn’t it time you discover just how good life can be when you step up to a Honda?

    Features May Include:

    Powerful 999cc twin-cylinder engine

    • Experience unparalleled power with our liquid-cooled 999cc Unicam® inline-twin engine, boasting high horsepower, big torque, and unmatched refinement and reliability throughout the rpm range.

    Unicam® cylinder head design

    • Using the same proven Unicam® cylinder head design found in our championship-winning CRF450R motocrosser helps make the engine more compact, allowing us to position it for optimal weight distribution and ground clearance.

    High-lift camshaft

    • Giving the engine a camshaft with a higher lift and longer duration improves its performance. This enhances the powerplant's breathing, resulting in more power throughout the rpm range.

    Roller rocker arms

    • Roller-tip rocker arms in the valve train reduce engine friction, improve efficiency, and increase power output at higher revs.

    Large throttle bodies

    • Our engineers gave the engine twin 46mm throttle bodies for better breathing and airflow, complementing the potent camshaft specs. You'll feel and hear the difference when you hit the loud pedal.

    High-flow fuel injectors

    • More air plus more fuel equals more power. With the hot cam, throttle body, and high-flow fuel injectors, the engine is the total package for off-road performance.

    Semi-dry-sump lubrication

    • Preventing oil from reaching the crankshaft eliminates windage losses, while the semi-dry-sump design ensures better engine lubrication and longer life, especially in extreme driving conditions.

    Engine air intake

    • To ensure your engine gets the cleanest air possible, we positioned the air filter high over the engine in the rear and the air intake off to the side.

    Dual-pin offset crankshaft

    • By offsetting the cylinders’ two crankpins by 270 degrees, the engine delivers a wide powerband and abundant torque, while counterbalancers help keep everything running smoothly.

    Tuned exhaust

    • An equally tuned exhaust system is necessary for improved intake and fuel delivery. This exhaust system produces beautiful mechanical exhaust notes and ensures smooth and even engine power delivery.

    High-capacity cooling system

    • When it comes to challenging terrains like rock crawling, deserts, dunes, and high altitudes, your side-by-side's cooling can be put to the test. That's why we equipped all of our Talons with a high-capacity system.

    Oil-jet pistons

    • Squirting oil onto the underside of the pistons helps them run cooler and seal better. This combination allows the pistons to live longer and helps the engine make more power.

    Rubber-mounted engine and exhaust

    • In addition to the suspension, we rubber-mounted the engine and exhaust system to insulate the cabin against excessive vibration. We also gave the engine four mounts to add strength under high loads.

    FOX Live Valve 2.5 Shocks

    • The FOX Live Valve model features cutting-edge semi-active suspension that utilizes FOX's adaptive valve technology, dynamically adjusting compression damping for each wheel in real-time. Enjoy reduced body roll, smoother terrain navigation, and superior resistance to bottoming.

    Independent front suspension

    • Dual A-arm suspension gives you 14.6 inches of travel in the front. Pair that with the stellar ground clearance, and you begin to understand why they handle rough terrain so well.

    3-link rear suspension

    • A 3-link trailing-arm rear suspension is one of the secrets to its precise handling, while a generous 15 inches of rear-wheel travel helps give you a smooth ride and superior control.

    Shorter wheelbase

    • The X-models have a shorter 116.4-inch wheelbase, which contributes to this side-by-side’s agility and excellent handling in rough terrain.

    Weight bias

    • For optimal sport driving, a slight rear weight bias works best. This is why we set up the Talons with 44% of their weight over the front and 56% over the rear.

    Dual-rate springs

    • The suspension springs provide a soft initial travel but resist bottoming, delivering a comfortable ride and supreme control - the best of both worlds.

    Electric Power Steering

    • Honda's Electric Power Steering (EPS) technology is continually improving. It eliminates bump steer, reduces fatigue, and provides added assistance in 4WD, lower speeds, and rough conditions. The system is specially tuned for sport-driving, and there are no belts or pumps to slip, break, or leak.

    High-performance disc brakes

    • High-performance brakes feature 250mm discs at all four corners, squeezed by 34mm twin-piston calipers up front and 34mm single-piston calipers out back. Our Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) optimizes front and rear braking power.

    Automatic six-speed DCT

    • Our automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) boasts a class-leading gear-driven setup, giving you manual or automatic control. It has efficient power delivery, true engine braking, and superior performance to belt-driven CVTs.

    Advanced Transmission Logic

    • The brain of the DCT, Advanced Transmission Logic, senses how you drive and adapts. Relaxed drivers get earlier shifts, while for sportier drivers, it will hold each gear longer. And when going downhill, you get true engine braking.

    Honda durability

    • Our DCT boasts steel gears instead of drive belts or a torque converter, making it as durable and efficient as a manual gearbox.

    Connected drive feeling

    • Compared to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), the positive gear-driven Automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) provides a significantly more engaging driving experience on your side-by-side.

    i-4WD

    • All Talons showcase the second generation of our exclusive i-4WD system. Think “i” for “intelligent” because that’s precisely what it is. An industry-first brake-traction control system that helps maintain front-wheel traction even if one wheel wants to spin.

    2WD/4WD shift on the fly

    • With our torque-biasing brake i-4WD traction control system, you can maximize available traction when you need it and have effortless steering when you want it, all without the need for a diff lock.

    Paddle shifting

    • Steering column-mounted paddle shifters add performance and fun. They let you shift without taking your hands off the steering wheel, and in Automatic mode, they let you override the current gear.

    High/low subtransmission

    • You get the necessary torque in all six gears with a 42-percent gear reduction between High and Low. This comes in handy when rock crawling or scaling hills.

    Hill Start Assist

    • Hill Start Assist prevents rollback when transitioning from brake to accelerator. It also works on downhill grades.

    Oversized CV joints

    • The robust CV joints, sturdy propshafts, and durable U-joints are designed to endure the stresses generated during low-speed rock crawling that cause driveline failures in many other side-by-sides.

    Center propshaft bearing

    • Since the vehicle has a longer wheelbase than our two-seater models, it also has a longer propshaft. Therefore, we install a special center bearing to make it stronger and smoother.

    Driveline damper

    • One example of Honda's attention to detail is the cam-type damper on the propshaft. This damper reduces vibrations, prolongs the lifespan of driveline parts, and provides a smoother ride.

    Engine location

    • Engine placement is pivotal, situated behind the cab for optimal balance and neutral weight distribution, ensuring exceptional control.

    Skid plate

    • Off-road driving can be challenging, and rough terrain can be unforgiving. We offer generous skid protection and a wide range of accessories to help protect vulnerable undercarriage and suspension components.

    Front bumper

    • The standard front bumper offers more vehicle coverage than some other side-by-sides and is designed to slide smoothly over obstacles in rough conditions while providing good protection.

    Recovery hook mounting point

    • Built into the chassis design, this attaching point makes it easy to secure for transport and hook up a recovery strap when your buddy with some other brand side-by-side gets stuck.

    Built in the U.S.A.

    • The entire Talon lineup is purpose-built for the American market, right in America. Domestically and globally made parts are assembled at our Timmonsville, South Carolina plant.

    Durable frame finish

    • Your new frame is fully treated inside and out with an electrostatic surface application during manufacturing and then powder-coated to resist chipping. It will look great for a long time.

    Aerodynamic roof

    • The specially designed full-coverage roof diverts rainwater from occupants and is aerodynamic when transporting the vehicle in either direction on your trailer.

    Stadium seating

    • Welcome to the best seats in the house: Because they sit nearly three inches higher and two inches closer to each other than the fronts, the rear "Stadium Seating" lets passengers see more. Enjoy the view!

    Mud and splash protection

    • Our Talon lineup provides excellent protection against mud and splashes with full-coverage doors and sealed passenger compartment openings.

    Driver/passenger protection

    • Safety is our top priority. The standard roof and hard doors with side nets help protect from debris and keep occupants inside. Three-point seatbelts and emergency locking retractors provide added safety.

    Occupant Protection Structure

    • The vehicle's Occupant Protection Structure meets ISO's rollover protection standard with large-diameter tubing. Standard hard doors and quick-clip side nets help keep debris out of the cabin and occupants inside. Auto-style three-point seatbelts optimize passenger security with emergency locking retractors.

    Comfortable seats

    • Our industry-leading seats feature a wide seatback and an even wider seat bottom. They are designed to be the most comfortable while providing tons of lateral support. Additionally, they are compatible with four-point harnesses.

    Adjustable driver's seat

    • Designed to fit a wide range of operators, the adjustable driver’s seat locks positively in position without wobble, helping make you feel more connected to the vehicle.

    Tilt wheel

    • A tilt steering wheel makes high-performance driving even more comfortable. Additionally, the tilt-wheel function makes getting in and out easier.

    Twin-level front passenger footrests

    • Passengers have plenty of legroom, even for those over six feet tall and wearing bulky boots. The two-level footrests allow for solid bracing on rough terrain or relaxation while cruising.

    Rear passenger legroom

    • The rear seats offer ample space for adults, with plenty of legroom, elbow room, and headroom to fit a full-size helmet comfortably.

    Integrated inner door handle

    • All four doors feature an integrated inner door handle, which demonstrates the Talon's commitment to comfort and convenience.

    Passenger T grab handle

    • Your passengers require a sturdy and secure grip. The passenger "T" handle is quickly adjustable and stays securely in place without rattling.

    Large cargo bed

    • The cargo bed is raised for safety and accessibility and has a 297-pound capacity with six strong tie-down points. It can easily accommodate a large 45-quart cooler with room to spare.

    Door nets

    • Door nets are now standard equipment and can be quickly and easily latched and unlatched to help protect you from the elements and keep you inside.

    Secure cup holders

    • Two cup holders in the center console and one in each door can hold a 30-ounce off-road standard-size travel cup.

    Flag mount

    • Designers at Honda pay attention to every detail, including the fully integrated flag mount.

    Loads of accessories

    • We keep adding more accessories every year and currently offer over 50 for the Talon 1000X-4. You can add items like a full audio system, windscreens, winch, auxiliary LED lighting, body and chassis protection, as well as our line of quick-attach Honda Pro-Connect offerings.

    Launch Mode

    • These are the only side-by-sides offering an automatic gear-driven transmission with Launch Mode. You won’t believe how fast you’ll come off the line–and neither will the other riders.

    Accessory charging ports

    • We provided two dedicated 12-volt charging ports: one in the front and one for rear-seat passengers.

    Easy-to-read LCD display

    • All Talon models have a large, steering-mounted LCD instrument cluster that displays important information such as speed, fuel levels, and more in an easy-to-read format.

    Integrated switch panel

    • We've installed a panel in the center that allows for easy installation of accessories like a winch or additional lighting. It also helps to keep the cabin looking clean.

Our Showroom and Inventory hub is the starting point for shopping Republic Powersports Austin. We are a franchised powersports dealership in Kyle serving the greater Austin metro, with confirmed franchise relationships for Honda, Suzuki, Polaris, Can-Am, Sea-Doo and Stark Future. Across those franchises, our product categories include motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides and UTVs, personal watercraft, dual-sport and enduro motorcycles, and electric dirt bikes. This page helps you understand what you can shop through our Austin location, how to use our live inventory tools, and how the rest of our dealership supports the purchase process.

Inventory changes as units arrive, move between locations, are traded, or are sold. That is why we use our live showroom and inventory pages for current unit-level information instead of publishing fixed counts, VIN totals, model-year quantities, prices, or promises that a particular vehicle will always be available. Start with the live listings, then use our Sales team as the current source for the specific unit, configuration, condition, pricing and availability you are considering.

Shop New Inventory by Confirmed Franchise

Our confirmed Austin franchise lineup gives shoppers several different ways to approach a new powersports purchase. Honda and Suzuki are represented in our motorcycle lineup. Polaris is represented in side-by-side and ORV shopping. Can-Am is represented in side-by-sides and ATVs. Sea-Doo adds personal watercraft to the Austin lineup, and Stark Future adds electric dirt bikes.

Those brand relationships are the foundation of our new-inventory positioning, but the live mix is not fixed. A brand can have several product families, trims and model years in the wider U.S. market, while our Austin availability changes over time. For that reason, we keep this page at the franchise and category level. When you want to see a specific model, color, trim or model year, use our live inventory and brand pages or contact our Sales team for the current listing and status.

Our current site includes dedicated brand pages for Honda, Suzuki, Polaris, Can-Am and Stark Future. Sea-Doo is also part of our Austin franchise lineup. For current Sea-Doo shopping, use our main showroom and live inventory pages so you are working from the inventory information available when you shop.

    Confirmed Vehicle Categories

Our showroom focuses on the vehicle categories represented through our Austin location: motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides and UTVs, personal watercraft, dual-sport and enduro motorcycles, and electric dirt bikes. Within motorcycles, our lineup supports sport, cruiser and dirt-bike shopping, while dual-sport and enduro motorcycles provide another path for riders who want street-and-trail versatility.

If you already know the type of riding you plan to do, start with the category that matches that use. Motorcycle shoppers can compare street-oriented, sport, cruiser, dirt and dual-purpose options represented within our confirmed franchise relationships. Off-road shoppers can use our ATV and side-by-side category pages to narrow the search before checking the live inventory. Personal-watercraft shoppers can use the main showroom and inventory while the dedicated Sea-Doo hub is being completed. Electric dirt-bike shoppers can use the Stark Future brand experience and the live inventory tools.

We keep this page focused on the categories represented through our Austin location. If a vehicle type is not part of our Austin lineup, we do not present it here as though it is.

    New and Pre-Owned Inventory

Our website provides separate ways to browse new and pre-owned inventory. New inventory is tied to the franchises and categories confirmed for our Austin location. Pre-owned inventory is inherently more variable because its mix depends on trades, purchases and units moving through the dealership. We therefore do not publish a permanent brand percentage, new-versus-used split, or fixed description of the pre-owned mix.

For shoppers, the practical difference is straightforward. New inventory should be evaluated through the current franchised lineup and the live unit details available when you shop. Pre-owned inventory should be treated as an active marketplace that can change from one visit to the next. A pre-owned unit that is visible today may not remain available, and a category that appears lightly represented at one moment can change as inventory turns.

Use the New Inventory and Pre-Owned Inventory filters for the current picture. If you do not see the exact fit you want, contact Sales before assuming the live page represents every option that may be available through the Republic Powersports group. Our Austin store participates in a shared inventory pool across three Republic Powersports locations, giving the team a wider internal view than a static Austin page alone can communicate.

How to Browse and Choose the Right Unit

A good vehicle choice starts with use, fit and ownership needs rather than with a model name alone. Begin by deciding whether your priority is street riding, off-road recreation, utility work, trail use, personal watercraft, or electric dirt riding. Then narrow the category and compare the live units that match that purpose. Use current unit pages for model-specific specifications, condition, equipment and pricing, because those details can change and should not be frozen into an evergreen authority page.

If you are comparing several categories, our category pages can help separate the shopping path. Motorcycle, ATV, side-by-side and dirt-bike pages are already part of the approved Austin site structure. Brand pages can then help you focus on a confirmed franchise. When a test ride is appropriate, our site also provides a Schedule a Test Ride resource. Current eligibility, unit availability and appointment details should be confirmed through the dealership for the vehicle you are considering.

The Sales team can also help you compare the practical differences that matter to your purchase, such as vehicle type, intended use, seating needs, terrain, transport considerations and whether you are shopping new or pre-owned. This page does not assign a universal “best” vehicle because the right choice depends on the rider, the use case and the live units available when you shop.

    Trade-Ins and the Purchase Process

Trade-ins are part of the Austin shopping process. We publish a Value Your Trade tool as well as a We Buy Bikes resource, allowing you to begin the valuation conversation online. Trade values, timing and final terms depend on the vehicle and the current dealership process, so we do not present a fixed valuation formula or turnaround promise here.

If you are replacing a current vehicle, start the trade-in step early. That gives the dealership a chance to review the information you provide while you are also narrowing your next purchase. A trade may be part of the overall transaction, but its value, eligibility and final treatment depend on the current vehicle and the live dealership process.

For customers who want to begin from home, several confirmed steps are available online: finance pre-approval and trade-in valuation can both be started digitally. You can also call our Sales team at (512) 377-9965 to continue the shopping conversation. We currently confirm online finance pre-approval and trade-in valuation as ways to start from home. For the rest of the transaction, including paperwork and pickup, confirm the current process with Sales. We do not advertise home delivery as a standard service on this page.

Finance, Service, Parts and Current Promotions

The vehicle purchase is connected to the rest of the dealership. If financing is part of your plan, our Finance page provides the dealership’s current financing information, and a separate online pre-approval application is available. Specific credit terms, lender availability, down-payment requirements and approval outcomes are not fixed on this showroom page because they vary by transaction and current program.

Service matters before and after the sale. Our Service Department has its own service page and online scheduling path, so you can review our service resources separately from the inventory decision. Our Parts Department likewise has a dedicated page and a Parts Request form. Keeping those departments connected helps shoppers move from choosing a vehicle to planning ownership support without forcing service or parts claims into the inventory page.

Current incentive information belongs on the dealership’s promotion resources rather than in permanent showroom copy. Manufacturer and dealer programs can change, expire or carry eligibility requirements. Use the current Factory Promotions and promotions pages for live program information, and confirm the terms that apply to the vehicle and transaction you are considering. This keeps the showroom page accurate even when pricing, incentives and finance programs change.

Shopping from Kyle and the Greater Austin Metro

Republic Powersports Austin is located in Kyle and serves the greater Austin metro, including Kyle, Austin, New Braunfels, Spicewood, San Marcos and Bastrop. Our home market is centered on Kyle and the South Austin corridor, and our typical customer travel radius is 40 minutes or less.

That geography shapes the way we organize the showroom: shoppers may be looking for a street motorcycle for Central Texas roads, an ATV or side-by-side for recreation or utility use, a dirt or dual-purpose motorcycle, a Sea-Doo personal watercraft, or an electric dirt bike. The correct starting point is the current category and live inventory that matches your intended use.

When you are ready to move forward, use the live showroom and inventory first, then connect with Sales for the current unit status. From there, use the trade-in, finance, service, parts and promotion resources as needed. This structure keeps the page useful over time: the confirmed brands, categories and dealership relationships remain clear while the dynamic facts that change every day stay where they belong – in the live inventory and current dealership process.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What types of powersports vehicles can I shop at Republic Powersports Austin?

We represent confirmed Austin franchises across motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides and UTVs, personal watercraft, dual-sport and enduro motorcycles, and electric dirt bikes. Our franchised brands are Honda, Suzuki, Polaris, Can-Am, Sea-Doo and Stark Future.

You can begin with the vehicle category that matches how you ride or work, then use our live inventory for the specific units available when you shop.

What is the difference between new and pre-owned inventory on the site?

New inventory is organized around our confirmed Austin franchises, while pre-owned inventory can change as vehicles are traded, purchased or sold. We do not publish a fixed new-versus-pre-owned percentage because the mix is dynamic.

Use the live New and Pre-Owned inventory filters for the current mix instead of relying on a static inventory description.

Does Republic Powersports Austin accept trade-ins?

Yes. We publish a Value Your Trade tool and a We Buy Bikes resource so you can begin the trade-in or purchase conversation online.

You can submit information about your current vehicle while you are narrowing your next purchase, then confirm the current valuation and transaction details with our team.

Why does powersports inventory availability change?

Inventory changes as vehicles arrive, move through the Republic Powersports inventory pool, are traded or are sold. That is why we keep specific unit details on the live inventory pages instead of fixing counts or availability claims in permanent showroom content.

Check the live listing or contact Sales before making plans around a particular unit, model year, configuration or price.

Can I complete a Republic Powersports Austin purchase remotely?

You can start finance pre-approval and trade-in valuation online, and you can continue the shopping conversation with our Sales team by phone. For the rest of the transaction, including paperwork and pickup, contact Sales for the current process. We do not advertise home delivery as a standard service here.

Start the available online steps from home, then confirm the current completion, paperwork and pickup process with Sales for your transaction.

How does financing connect to an inventory purchase?

Our Finance page provides current financing information, and we publish a separate online pre-approval application. Specific rates, terms, lender availability and approval outcomes depend on the current transaction and program.

You can begin the financing step while you shop without treating a changing rate, term or incentive as a permanent promise on the showroom page.

How should I choose the right motorcycle, ATV, side-by-side, personal watercraft or dirt bike?

Start with your intended use, then narrow by category, brand and the live units available. Consider where you plan to ride, whether the vehicle is for recreation or utility use, seating needs, terrain, transport needs and whether you prefer new or pre-owned.

Use our category and brand pages to narrow the field, then work with Sales on the current unit that best matches your needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all recommendation.

Inventory changes over time. Confirm the exact unit, configuration, and current location with our sales team before planning around a specific purchase.
